This simple, affordable, no fuss Sentinel electronic braking unit comes with loads of great features, including Smartclick Technology – this allows for quick and easy connection to any Smartclick Brake Control Harness’s.

As it requires space in the cabin for mounting, the most common place for mounting this unit is under the dash.

The Sentinel is suitable for Standard electric braking systems, and is suitable for up to 4 axles.

Its unique design delivers a virtually indestructible device – it’s has no moving parts or pendulums, making it a 100% solid state construction.

Another feature that makes this a popular choice is its digital display, showing you “output settings”, “sync settings” and tells you if there’s a brake overload or short connection. This feature also helps with troubleshooting when hooking-up.

The Sync control allows the driver to take control over the rate the brakes are applied, from soft to aggressive, with the simple back and forth movement of the control. Its manual control (located on the front of the unit, and engaged with a squeeze of the control) not only activates the trailer brakes but also its stop lights, and is a great way to minimize ‘trailer-sway’.

A solid state time delay requires the braking pressure to be set manually.

The Sentinel also has internal circuit protection, so if someone fancies themselves a bit handy with cars, but doesn’t read the instructions and wires it up wrong, they won’t do any damage to the unit.

Meeting all Australian Standards, this controller is suitable for (and only for) 12V negative ground systems.
